The C-Scape Mapping
Project is a nonprofit grassroots artist's collaborative. We provide
short term winter residencies for artists, writers and scientists at
the historic C-Scape Dune Shack. We share our experiences through community
oriented arts projects, engaging in environmental education projects
with local schools, and hold an annual group exhibition at the Schoolhouse
Center for the Arts in Provincetown. We teach students positive ways
to explore and create within their native landscape. Our exhibitions
provide the community an opportunity to share in our varied and personal
encounters with the openness that is the Province Lands dune-scape.
The C-Scape Mapping Project's goal is to foster the development of an
ecological consciousness through the interchange between the arts and
sciences. We derive our name from our unique use of Global Position
Satellite technology as a creative tool (visit our mapping page to find
out more!).
The CMP operates
in partnership with The Provincetown Community Compact and is supported
by grants from the LEF Foundation, as well as the private donations
of many generous individuals. If you would like to know more or contribute
